Hi, blogger on Wednesday Brock had an eye test to go to so Gemma was there too so my mum said to gemma mum that we can have our nails done at the mall, I had my pink and this light pink colour and Gemma colours were purple and with purple glitter on it. but of my colours fell off so on one hand only pink on it. When we got gemma to her appointment and her mum was waiting for us. so there we dropped her off we went to Hagley Park for a walk.

It was so fun to have Gemma over to have a play date for a bit until 1:00 and have her nails done too.

Hanmer Springs

Hi bloggers these holidays I went to  Hanmer Springs on Tuesday for the day. We went with my mum's friend Jen and her kids Payton and Oscar. We went in all the hot pools man made and purpose built ones. And we went on all the hydroslides too. They were awesome especially the bowl ride and conical hill ride. They were so awesome and we screamed heaps when we went down. We had lunch there and went swimming more and played tag in the lazy river. We then had a hot shower and got dressed and came home. It was such a fun day and i want to go again

Bridal Path Walk

On Sunday the 7rh June i walked up the Bridal Path walkway with my mum, my friend Payton and her mum Jen, and aunties Suzi, Sally and Bex. It was very steep and my legs hurt, On the way up it was very slow but on the way down it was fast and i had to stop myself from falling over. It was lots of fun.

LOCKDOWN BAKING

Friday 8th May - Lockdown Baking with Peyton

Hey everyone so today Mum, Brock and I decided we would get some baking done. So we decided on Anzac Biscuits, Banana Cake and Caramel Biscuits.

The Anzac biscuit recipe is my Poppa's, the caramel biscuit recipe is my Great Nana's and the Banana cake recipe comes from Glamour Cake Cafe in Lyttelton.

Brock and I had so much fun measuring all the ingredients and then mixing everything together. Mum put the oven trays in the oven as it was too hot for us to touch.

Numeracy work

  Friday 8th May - Distance learning

Term 2 has me doing my numeracy with Mrs Atkinson and Mr Sutherland. We have combined both groups for maths during our video sessions. 
The couple of weeks we have been doing, 
translations, reflections, rotations,  rotational symmetry.

I found this work really hard and needed lots of help from Mrs Atkinson, mum and dad too but i did get there.

A visit to the beach

A VISIT TO THE BEACH - BY PEYTON

Friday 1st of may we visited New Brighton beach. It smelt very salty but was wonderful to get out for a different walk with Mum, Brock and I.

There were hundreds of people out walking and some with their dogs. There were even people out surfing and some were swimming. We thought it was too cold for that.

With the sand under our feet we drew our names on the beach and ran after each other being silly. We walked about 2.5 kilometres and then around and walked back. Our legs were very tired and sore.

Before we jumped in the car we went and seen my big Brother Travis and his girlfriend Greer as they live across from the beach. But Travis was at work. I wanted to hug Greer but we cant because she doesnt live in our bubble and we have to be careful with the Covid - 19 virus.

COVID - 19 blog - Thursday 30th April

2020 where do we start. March 26th we went into a full level 4 lockdown in New Zealand. That meant we had to stay home from school, the parks and live with people in our house. That was my mum, dad, Brock and i. My big brother Kadin stayed with his Girlfriend Emma at her house.

The facts for Covid- 19 is there are a total of 1474 cases that have had the virus, 348 cases that are probable and 1126 positive cases. 1229 people have recovered with 19 people dying mostly older people.

In canterbury 162 have tested positive for Covid - 19, 111 people have since recovered with 41 people still having it. We have had 10 deaths from the virus. In christchurch we have had 3 places where 10 or more people have had Covid - 19. They are Rosewood Resthome, 54 cases, George Manning Resthome, 20 cases and a unknown workplace with 10 cases.

The Prime minister Jacinta Ardern and Minister of Health Ashley Bloomfield have been doing daily updates on TV with how New Zealand is doing.

On Tuesday 28th April 2020 we moved to level 3 lockdown where over 400,00 people went back to work and lots of businesses were able to open like McDonalds and Burger King but you can only order through the drive thru. 

Level 3 also means keeping our bubbles small for now. We still just have mum, dad, Brock and i at home but my brother Kadin visits daily after he finishes work. Im excited once level 2 comes in so i can see my other brother Travis, his girlfriend Greer and Kadin's Girlfriend Emma and hopefully we can go back to school.

This morning we made some Anzac biscuits. There are lots of ingredients to put in the bowl for the mixture to make the biscuits.

Mum and i had lots of fun making the biscuits, The recipe is my poppas and my great nanas recipe.

This morning we made lcing for the  cake and it  was white lcing.  It says happy birthday Fudge.

DISTANCE LEARNING WITH MISS ROBERTS

My blog today is on the distance learning with Miss Roberts. We have been having 2 video sessions with Miss Roberts a day for her literacy group. We have been doing literacy and maths. 

 My favourite part is the statistical investigation. I did my investigation on how many teddy bears are their in my neighbourhood. I went down Englefield street in northwood as on John's road there arent any teddy bears in peoples windows. I found 77 teddy bears in 20 houses together.

Making Bread with Mum

Friday 17th April

Last night mum and i made bread. It was hard work for mum and i because we had to do it slowly. Mum kneaded the bread lots and i did it a little because it hurt my arms to do lots. 

When we put the dough in the slow cooker it was flat but soon it grew bigger the lid wanted to come off. It cooked for 3.5 hours and smelt very yummy.
